With all of the excitement and effort that goes into capturing the perfect day, the Bride getting ready, the amazing dresses and colours on show, it is easy to forget the Groom. When you look back on your photos you don’t want to find that there are no great pictures of the groom before and after getting married. So here are some of my tips for capturing the groom at his best:
- Pre arrange the moments in the schedule where he can be photographed
- Think of who he wants a picture with, as well of all the Bride and Groom photos
- If your budget allows, a second photographer to capture the Groom party getting ready
- Think of stag party / pre wedding event shoot
- Think about how you want to be seen, talk to the photographer about the image you want to project
- Have you any surprises planned, let the photographer know in advance so they won’t be missed
- If you want a particular picture let the photographer know
- Enjoy the experience you will look back on these phots for years to come
- All picture of the day go through an editing process, so if you don’t like something speak up it can be changed
Once the day is over my favourite part is the putting together the finished albums for the couple to see. Great pictures of the Groom help add balance to the album and should never be forgotten.
