The Arnold House in Rugby Warwickshire offers a real treat as a wedding venue. I was fortunate enough to do the photography for a wedding there on Saturday the 2nd of March 2024.
Located in the centre of Rugby with its own secure parking it was ideal for a photographer and guest alike. I could easily get my equipment to the venue, and I know the bride and guests also found this so useful.
The Arnold House is also the Masonic Hall for Rugby and is a fascinating place on its own. As I walked around checking light levels and scouting for photo opportunities I was amazed by the pictures, memorabilia and paraphernalia of Masonic tradition.
There is a well-stocked and very reasonably priced bar that was used by the guests both before and after the ceremony. The bar staff where helpful and knowledgeable giving insights into the Masonic Halls history.
A large room overlooking the entrance was made available for the bridal party to get ready, well equipped with tables and mirrors. The room was large and light enough to get some wonderful photographs of the bride, bridesmaids and bride’s mother getting ready.
The service was held in the most fantastic wood panelled room beautifully laid out with high windows giving an atmospheric lighting to the photographs. High backed carved wooden chairs gave the whole event a very high-end feel. Saturday was raining so the formal pictures were taken inside the ceremonial room, and they look great.
The party then moved onto a beautifully laid out Ballroom where the guest could take a seat and wait for the buffet. The bar is located next to the ballroom and there are adjoining doors. The hot and cold buffet was excellent, I heard no complaints and lots of positive feedback from the guests.
The Arnold Hall and it staff where very accommodating to the children who attended. There was plenty of space for the children to let off steam and enjoy themselves.
An Art Deco building in the centre of Rugby with excellent facilities and its own parking, what’s not to love.
